Expanding St. Jude’s capacity to engage patient families
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital provides care to thousands of children with childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases, many of whom do not respond well to standard therapies. Speaking of Science teamed up with St. Jude to provide trusted information to families seeking treatment at the renowned children’s hospital. We translated complex information on more than 100 topics—like genetic disorders, cancers, rare diseases, and current and emerging treatments—into plain language summaries. We also created new content addressing questions that families most often ask about diagnostic or monitoring tests, clinical trials, and other health care procedures. The result is an online hub of dependable resources that families can rely on before, during, and after their time at St. Jude.
